Stewardship is bigger than turf.
Great golf courses matter. So do the people who care for them, the communities they serve, and the profession we pass to the next generation. My work has taught me to treat each of those responsibilities as part of the same job.
Where it started
A life connected to golf.
Some of my earliest and most treasured memories were made alongside my late father in South Africa.
I caddied for him, learned the game from him, played alongside him and, as I like to remember it, even “consulted” while he served on the greens committee at his local club.
I did not know then where the game would take me. What I did learn was the value of relationships, responsibility, and leaving something worthwhile behind.
